The Houston Texans had a challenging beginning in Kansas. The Chiefs finished the quarter with two touchdowns, two successful extra kicks, and a field goal. The Texans had a 44-yard field goal from Ka’imi Fairbairn. The first quarter ended 17-3 Chiefs.

The second quarter saw plenty of action from Houston. Deshaun Watson threw an 11-yard touchdown, but the extra kick was missed from Fairbairn. Thankfully, he redeemed himself with another successful extra kick after Carlos Hyde had a 2-yard touchdown. The Texans were close to scoring at the end of the quarter, but the throw from Deshaun Watson was intercepted. Houston took over with a fumble recovery in the following play. Deshaun Watson rushed 3 yards for a touchdown, and with a successful kick from Ka’imi Fairbairn, the Texans ended the half with the lead at 23-17.

The third quarter saw little action from the Texans while the Chiefs had a successful touchdown and extra kick, taking the lead 24-23.

The final quarter was where the Texans took control, with a 1-yard touchdown from Deshaun Watson and a two-point conversion pass to DeAndre Hopkins from Watson, taking the lead back for a final score of 31-24.
