Well, it was a matter of time for the New York Giants, as according to Adam Schefter, Daniel Jones will be the starting quarterback in week three against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while Eli Manning goes to the bench.
The Giants are currently 0-2 after tough losses to the Dallas Cowboys (35-17) and Buffalo Bills (28-14). Manning in his two starts has thrown for 556 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions with a QBR of 37.3.
Jones was the sixth overall pick in this past draft in April, a selection that drew heavy criticism at the time, but after looking good in preseason, Jones put the concerns to rest. It looks like a new era is starting for the Giants, as the tenure of 39-year-old Manning is over.
